We love crafting and sometimes you need to find more inspiration to create!
Why not visit Leeds Art Gallery it’s totally free to enter!
With constantly changing exhibitions the only thing that we can guarantee is a lady chilling out watching the world go by beside the entrance of Leeds Art Gallery, Henry Moore’s Reclining Woman: Elbow sculpture. Erected outside the gallery’s new extension in 1982 this famous bronze figure has been there all my life. As a child I just thought it was a climbing frame, as a teen a meeting point but as an adult I see her as a lucky lady who never ages! A part of Leeds history and an image that all people in Leeds should recognise. An inspiration in her own right to create your own artwork but also a wonderful hostess welcoming you to Leeds Art Gallery.
Inside the gallery you are greeted to different types of artworks. Some might encourage children to embrace their inner eco warrior others I would love to hang on my wall. Sculpture, paintings, moving images you just don’t know what you will see till you arrive but one thing for sure is that you will be inspired to create your own masterpiece when you leave, and you might even leave a little painting or two for others to see in the workshop!
