When we think about places to go, we automatically think of how much it will cost us but don’t forget about things to do that are free!

We often visit our local Library, but you can also visit one of the most beautiful buildings in Leeds: Leeds Central Library!

Now the outside of Leeds Library isn’t much to shout about inside its like Hogwarts! Step back intime and be greeted by grand staircases and high ceilings. Doors that look like they don’t lead anywhere and a Librarian or two who can help you make the most of the resources available.

This Victorian Grade II-listed building is a hidden gem in Leeds. Full of secrets and stories from bygone days. A quiet place to rest and the perfect place to read a book!

It’s very easy to become a member of Leeds Libraries just fill out a form online or at the desk. Gone are the ugly paper tickets we had as children, you now have a bright and colorful card to pick from! Which one would you choose?

Somewhere to go when its raining or even staying out of the sun. A place to have some down time let your children explore. There’s something for everyone.

Why not have a little game whilst you visit. How many Yorkshire Roses can you find and how many steps can you climb? Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Lions and Guard Dogs!

The bottom floor is where you will find the Children’s Library filled with exciting books to read and you might like to borrow one to read at home. There’s also a mini playbox for you to explore full of sensory items and a great way to keep the little ones entertained.

Don’t forget to visit next time you’re in Town and check out What’s On in Leeds Libraries | Leeds Inspired for events happening over the year!
