What you will need :
- Empty plastic bottle with lid
- String
- Permanent markers
- Scissors
Step 1
Decorate your bottle with permanent marker, Get creative with your design!
Step 2
Cut off the bottom of your bottle. Start cutting in a swirl beginning from the bottom until you have reached the neck of the bottle. This can be very sharp and tricky to start off, so please ask an adult to help you.
Step 3
We need to make a little handle to hang it so tie the string around the neck of the bottle, very similar as tying your shoelaces.
Step 4
Screw your top back on and hang your creation on a tree or a window.
Well done you have made your very own sun catcher!
Why not experiment with different colours to how the sun catches the light. Do lighter colours work better than darker colours?
